If you want the most bang for your buck be on the lookout for a 2016 GMC Acadia. The factory incentive is very good for these right now. The 2017 is going to be smaller and cheaper so they are slashing the price on the 2016's to clear them off the lot.

Not at $35k

You can do a low mileage Limited 4Runner for $35k. Nee you cans get them around $40k, so you should be able to do 2014 for $35k.

Issue with these small 3 row SUVs is you will have zero cargo space when using the third row. If that's not a problem for you then go ahead. Could always look at roof carriers or hitch carriers.

Get a new Honda Pilot. The EXL is around 35. 3rd row, all leather, V6.

Lack of cargo when using 3rd row isn't a problem. Anyone have an Acura MDX?

I tried to find one of those a few months ago but they were very scarce. It may be different now

My wife's 2013 Nissan Pathfinder has been a great buy (redesigned model). I'm sure the 16 and 17's are even better now.

Loaded, I believe we paid just under $40K out the door for fully loaded model with all the gadgets and bells and whistles. There are models out there that can be had for less too.

You will not be disappointed. My only complaint is the uconnect radio but they updated the version in the newer models and have no problems.

One thing I would recommend is the diesel engine

Fuel efficiency is great but diesels last much longer. I will drive this car until I can't anymore and wish that was what I had got

Captain chairs in the 2nd row are essential for me with 3rd row seating. Donald of the aforementioned recs offer that?

I'm a 8-10 year max. on a vehicle guy but if I thought I was going to keep it as the rec vehicle I may look into it. It's quiet the up charge and cost at the pump.

I'll be e-stalking you for more questions when the time gets nearer.
