Suits navy? Brown belt brown shoes and change the tie. Never a black tie with navy.

I'm like the least fashionable male ever to walk the earth, and I was always taught that belt and shoes need to be same color.

With navy tradition was black belt black shoes. Modern and younger is brown belt and shoes. Black tie only with black suit.

Shoes and belt color should match, so either black belt and shoes, or dark brown belt and shoes.

Regardless of what many think, it's okay to wear a brown belt and shoes with a navy suit.
