I've been self prescribing this medication on an as needed basis for a while now. Ahead of the curve you could say.

yeah right...the leaders of this state are too stupid to do something logical like this, much less make recreational use legal too.

The study cannot be considered valid or invalid. Its put out by a pro marijuana group.
Other studies by "neutral parties" would need to be conducted IMO

One of the reasons this country has made weed illegal is because the cotton industry in the 30s saw hemp as a competitor and wanted hemp (no THC) to be associated with marijuana, that evil weed that makes white women sleep with Mexicans and black men Sadly they succeeded in this endeavor, and hemp got banned as well as marijuana.

This is true. They should.
It's the fact that the state is hemorrhaging money right now that opens this up as an option. It wouldn't be a "quick fix" but it would be a way for the state to get $ without getting it from the federal government, borrowing, or raising taxes. (Raising taxes for that amount of $, not in general)

Give me a break. It doesn't even require any studies to realize that it'd be highly beneficial for states financially and it would let people partake in something that has medicinal use without having to worry about getting arrested. Don't be dumb.

I don't even smoke marijuana and I think It should be legal here for recreational and medical purposes. Hard times financially, limited competition(currently) and a constant nagging about diversification of our economy. Looks like a winner to me.
Not to mention if we stopped pissing away money on law enforcement stopping people for weed maybe we could get some real benefit. Like stopping all the heroin/meth problems.
