I don't use the word trashy very often, but using the word "ni**a" has to be one of the lowest form of trash there is today. I don't care who uses the word or why, but as soon as I hear someone say it, black or white, I immediately judge them as trailer park/project level trash and part of the lowest common denominator. It seriously is disgusting how commonly it's used.

This kind of thing is unfortunately all too common (not the defending the teacher so much as the acceptability of violence in schools). And, in all honesty, it is very rarely anyone other than blacks who both instigate and perpetuate the situation. I'd love to say that it is a socio-economic thing. But it isn't. I've been teaching and involved in education for over 15 years and it is simply the case that wherever there is a predominance of black students, there WILL be violence, often in largely impromptu and seemingly unprovoked situations.

He also pulled the other guy off of the guy he just laid out. Didn't let some random punk continue to beat on a kid like he won the fight. Unbelievable that kids will fight in he middle of class, but at least that kid stood up for what was right

Sad thing is statistics show that this kid is more likely to be shot by another student in that classroom before his 21st birthday than be on track to graduate with a bachelors degree. (Unless he's a promising athlete w/ a D1 potential)

Whats sad is you can tell by the teachers non-nonchalant reaction at the end of the video that this is completely normal behavior for this school.

You didn't go to public school did you?

I don't think anyone truly believes it is socio-economic. It's just some feel good bullshite so they don't sound racist.

Poor black people are more violent than poor white people. Fact.

I taught for Orleans Parish for many years. They would have likely wanted to fire that teacher for "touching" a student.

Our school had 4 teachers out on assault leave after being attacked by students. So the school board sent their lawyer to tell us that if kids were fighting or if a kid was attacking us then our only acceptable response would be to hold both our hands up in the air and allow the kid to beat us.

We were told if we attempted to defend ourselves or push the student off of us or touch the kid at all that we would be arrested for battery and child abuse.

Good ole Orleans Parish School Board at its finest.
