Live from the Stuart Airshow, want to thank our veterans for their service . 84*F and a beautiful partly cloudy day. Hoping some of these pics bring back memories of days past. Coolest plane so far is the AC130 with the machine guns, 105mm rounds. Terrorist hunting permit was funny as well. Supposed to have two F22s here as well, will keep adding pics as the day goes on.

that's always been a pretty good show, used to take my kids to it when we lived in Hobe Sound

I love them all, have a little soft spot for the Phantom II and the Eagle though

C17 is surprisingly quiet for how large it is. Legit looks like a commercial plane with the winglets

those are the military equivalent of the PW2000 engines that were widely used on the B-757, quiet and fuel efficient

Danny Glover flew one of these in "Bat 21." I would love to have a Cessna 337, the civilian version of the O-2, many of which went to local governments after the Vietnam War.

old O-2 joke:

Q: what's the engine in the back for?

A: to escort you to the scene of the crash

Goat on the 757, didn't know they were on the C17 too. I'll have to ask some people in the area about the 2000

The reverse thrust on it is crazy! Able to back up like it's parallel parking

I preferred the Rolls Royce RB211, had a little more smash but the P&W was a good one too

I guess you don't have to worry about your critical engine on this plane.

Golfing yesterday at Willoughby and the jets were screaming up the fairways. At 5:30 a F22, I believe would circle around and then fly right at the outdoor bar and just before reaching us would rollover and fly upside down until it flew over. Incredible show.

The little Cessna 02 "Bird Dog" is what my father flew as forward air control in Vietnam. Good to see them represented at an air show. They usually get overshadowed by the flashier planes.
