We had one on our flight a few weeks ago (southwest flight)
He was about 65 years old though

How do you know if they're gay or not?

we had a gay one on a virtually empty flight a few years back and he kept sneaking drinks to me and my SO and looked the other way while we joined a special club.

Did he induct you and the SO into the club together or separately?

Be sure to complain about shitty service like that, most airlines take it seriously.

The wife is a flight attendant and the amount of shite they have to deal with can vary from nil to "daycare for bad adults". They also have to stay up-to-date on the latest FAA regulations and can get **burned at any time by a surprise FAA inspector showing up and they not have their FAMs (Flight Attendant Manuals) with them and completely up-to-date.

**burned = fined by the FAA for each infraction (can't remember the price at the moment, but it's fairly steep) and they cannot work another flight until the fine is paid.


To the OP's query though, straight male flight attendants are extremely rare. In the years I and my wife have been together I think I have met one straight one. No idea on clean-up but I wouldn't be shocked.
