#StopSnitching: Police Edition

There was a huge outcry when the #stopsnitching campaign was popular. Police claim it impedes them from solving crimes and serving the community. That being said, when was the last time a law enforcement officer stepped from being the blue shield to speak out against corruption and impropriety in their departments?
To go a step further, whenever an office does step from behind the shield his life is made hell often with management approval. This is despite there being laws against harressment and whistleblower protections. Do these policies not apply to law enforcement?
The police mentality is in no way different from that of most street gangs. When will the "good" cops speak out against the bad seeds? When will the public demand more accountability?

Most major companies, organizations, ect have "anonymous" hotlines that people can call to report misdeeds. These lines are usually managed by an outside agency to avoid a conflict of interest. I know government agencies have them. Are they not available to police?

I did not, but my guess is because the OP is an opinion piece based on assumption and speculation with zero fact or substance referenced. While it's entirely possible that it's true, it's very easy to disregard entirely should you want to believe something else. I'd wager those people either believe something else or dislike speculation, but that's just me speculating.

Yet not one argument was made to refute his claim.
