So, for the test tomorrow, I'm pretty sure he told the class that there wouldn't be specific things go into this test. Does anyone here know what isn't and what is going to be on the test tomorrow? What did he say the two problems were going to be based off of again?

This guy fails to give out a practice test for us to study and go over. It's killing me right now.

Any help or information would be awesome and appreciated. I'm sure there's a few of us in the same situation as me.

The larger problem is probably going to be why you are on a mostly social and casual topic message board at 1:33 AM looking for information about a exam that is now only hours away.

I empathize with you. I hope you find what you're looking for. Try Yik Yak. Probably a better place than the OT.

Statics tests used to be very easy to find. We always had several old tests to study from. But in any case, the test were identical to homework problems. Just do a bunch of those. Only thing difficult about Statics is showing all of your work in the amount of time they give you to finish the test. You need to get it right the first time, no time to just figure it out along the way and have to start over when you realized a mistake. Otherwise, it's rather easy.

Ah yes, the good old "wait until the night before" study plan.

Don't worry, McDonald's won't care what your Statics grade was.

You better start making friends in your classes.

Seems like a no brainer that your test is modeled after the homework.

Let me guess, you don't do the homework.

also this. It's almost impossible to go through engineering on your own.

I wouldn't have made it without being friends with half my graduating class. Also helps in the future when looking for jobs.

Not all classes are like that. Thermo for example was a question like the homework, but with a curveball thrown in so that you had to know the material to get it. Couldn't plug and chug. Statics was exactly like the homework. It's all about time management since it is a page worth of work to show for 3 problems in an hour. But not that difficult of you know what you are doing.

As someone else said, Statics is where I made friends. That's when you start to get to know people and trade example problems.

Well yeah, that's the point...

You have what you practiced, but that extra thing is to see if you've mastered it.

I do the same things on my tests. It's not a curveball it's a test of understanding.

You can study something until you are blue in the face, but if you cannot use it then you don't deserve an A.

I understand where you are coming from.

I'm just letting the OP know that statics didn't even try to make sure you mastered it. It literally was a copy of a problem from the book sometimes with different numbers, but solved exactly the same. No curveballs at all. You didn't have to understand concepts in the least if you memorized how to solve practice problems. I had quite a few friends get through that class that way.

Let's just hope his teacher did the same thing.

I wasn't in engineering, but I was in biology.

We started making study groups in organic chemistry.

If it wasn't for my group I'd probably make a B, but what I brought to the table and what they brought to the table gave me and them an A.
