my first job out of college was 36k with full benifits got laid off a week before my year long raise.

2nd job now in the AF E-4 base pay sucks but after throwing in housing off base, food and cola i make around 54k a year with 30 days of leave.

Starting salary for your career

Was making $15/hr + $800/mo living expenses as an intern 2 semesters ago. Will be going back to work 2 more semesters in the summer before I graduate.

Extrapolated over a full year it comes out to ~$38k/yr. Not entirely sure what I'd be making there once I graduate, but Auburn claims ME graduates average a starting salary right around $60k/yr.

eta: forgot that the company I work for does a good bit of travel and we get to pocket whatever per diem we don't spend. Lots of guys came back from month long business trips to Italy and Spain with a ~$1-2k in per diem savings on top of their salary.

Started 62k. Full benefits but I wish they matched more than 75% on my 401k contributions. Just earned one week vacay after 6 months with the company.

$20,000, 2 weeks vacation, and a calculator. It was a few years before we got computers in our offices. Cell phones and laptops - did not exist.

I think the starting salaries today as a builder is in the upper 30's lower 40's. This career is a life of long hours...you better enjoy it or not get involved
