Starbucks accused me of counterfeiting

Ordered a coffee, tried to pay with an old $10 bill and the cashier wouldn't accept it.
"Is this real?"
"Yeah, its an older one, look at the date"
"I have to get my manager"
Manager"I'm not familiar with this bill, do you have another form of payment"
Seriously, how we as a people have fallen. I am a white college educated male, wearing khakis, a button down with a sweater vest and loafers.....and they think I'm trying to counterfeit a $10 bill in a starbucks with 8 surveillance cameras? My demographic would risk a minimum of 6 years in prison for $10?
