NOLA article on sprucing up I-12 exchanges

Looks like St. Tammany gov't is trying to paper over some of the eyesores they've allowed to develop along I-12. Now they're going to put flags and banners and shrubs, I guess to try and obstruct the view of Metairie-north on I-12.

Too little, too late.

Yeah, Livingston Parish and Pearl River County's junkyards at their intersections make St. Tammany jealous.

They need to address the 190/I-12 traffic issue first

Most of these interchanges have little or no development at them currently.

This. The frickery that happens between Judge Tanner and I-12 is an embarassment to the white privilege of all Mandevellianites

Sadly, they just got done with the construction a couple years ago. I think they made it worse.

There's a sign that doesn't face the travel lanes, it's turned sideways, that shows 2 lanes going to the exit towards I-12 and other lane staying straight (northbound) on 190. That sign has been there at least a year now but obviously no construction yet. Hopefully that's proof that there is at least a plan.

They also need to make the developer do something with that part of Pinnacle that was never built. That is a big eyesore.

Unless they build a two lane ramp to I12 West I don't see how two lanes will help. It will just bottle neck at the one lane ramp. Also, the traffic light just north of I12 is a cluster frick too and that 2nd lane would have no bearing on that light. While we're at it, 190 southbound north of I12 in front of north park etc is even worse than northbound south of I12. They widened all that to 3 lanes (even 4 in some areas with turning lanes) and its as bad as its ever been.

At this point they might as well knock it down. The wrap they put around it continues to degrade. As you can see below, they hadn't finished one of the buildings, it's just a cinder block wall:
