St. Tammany detective saves drowning suspect

This dumb arse apparently can't swim but tried to escape by jumping into water. Genius.

As detectives moved in to arrest Anderson, he attempted to drive away. He drove across the parking lot at a high rate of speed before ramming head on into an unmarked sheriff's office vehicle driven by another detective. The impact caused heavy damage to both vehicles, the news release said.
Following the crash, Anderson got out of the vehicle and fled on foot. With detectives in pursuit, Anderson jumped into a nearby canal. He immediately began yelling for help, stating that he could not swim.

That was behind the firehouse. The canal there is about 15' deep. He would have been DRT.
