What's the story on the King Tiger's "textured" surfaces? Is that a high build coating to add depth or shadows to the camouflage?

See my post on this on page 1 where I discuss "Zimmerit" coating.

Sadly, I sold mine. Need to buy that little bastard back. It was hell with the derp cannon.

I miss mine.

Still think I had the best win percentage in my Marder II of any tank I've played. Not that win percentage really means shite.

Ok, somebody in my clan was trying to explain exactly how derp worked, because I never use it and have never had luck.

If a derp has half the pen of another gun, why should I get the derp? I don't roll up next to other tanks, I prefer to snipe, and if I'm in a fast tank, I'm picking whichever gun reloads faster.

Kind of late to this party and did not read all the posts yet. Don't know if anyone mentioned this British gem from the Western Desert circa 1942-43.
Also, IMO the best tank in its tier in WoT. Pretty good armor and a quick firing 2 pounder. A whole lotta slow though.

Heuschrecke was a damn fine and powerful self propelled piece of artillery.

Wasn't very reliable either.

The slow speed of the Matilda was further exacerbated by a troublesome suspension and a comparatively weak power unit, which was created from two AEC 6-cylinder bus engines linked to a single shaft. This arrangement was complicated and time-consuming to maintain, as it required mechanics to work on each engine separately and subjected automotive components to uneven wear-and-tear. It did provide some mechanical redundancy, since failure in one engine would not prevent the Matilda from using the other.
