If I were 30 or older and meeting chicks, I'd probably try to take the ones with kids to poundtown because they're obviously easy. I wouldn't want to raise some bastard child though.

I will let you know if I ever divorce my wife. She is a fiery redhead that is also a breast surgeon.

If it truly was the right person, then kids might not be a deal breaker, but here's the handicap (10-scale; higher # = more important)

No kids: 8 (and if an a-hole ex was involved 10++)

High income: 0; (fulfilling occupation and self-sufficient, barring some unforeseen circs or doing something totally charitable with little income: 10)

Nice house: 0

Rich parents?: 0 (in fact would be a red flag)

Old man in the picture? what's this mean? What does in the picture mean? Incest or just close? Odd question. I'll make a better one: Cool parents who'd make great in-laws: 10.

I make them fill out a questionnaire once the chloroform wears off.

Daddy issues are a real thing. They can be fun but are generally bad marriage potential.

But by old man I meant kids father. I worded it poorly.

This fiery redhead has found a boyfriend, but my checklist was based on things that were problematic in my marriage. So I think it's safe to say that it would be different for everyone. Anyway, here is mine.

-College Degree (Must)
- Not a cop
- likes dogs
- allows me to have a career of my choosing and doesn't want me to be his stay at home slave
- understands what a monogamous relationship is
- doesn't feel the need to control everything and everyone
- isn't jealous of people who have better lives and nicer things because they've actually worked hard for that and deserve success
- does not have violent reactions to even the slightest of inconvenience
- not a manipulator
- does not think he's better than everyone

that's sort of what i was thinking. having lived it as a kid in various contexts, that would be the biggest obstacle--crazy/ahole exes.

i've seen it work fine, even with the ex in the picture, but seems to be the exception.
