People can say "I love you" and it seems to be of little consequence to them, likes it's just something you are supposed to say after fricking for a couple months.
Oh Im not denying that it is just thrown around. It's prob sad that I cant think of too many couples, young and old, that truly mean it when they say those words..
The thread earlier about the Facebook message is a perfect example. In this day & age, temptation is just one click away. Here's a female that is clearly getting hit on by this man, but she doesn't tell him anything. Almost leads him on.
Not that it bothers me one bit, but obviously marriage isnt sacred anymore. Which devalues the words. The guy in the FB thread was just like "yea ill wait 4 years until my kid moves out then divorce her". Not that i blame him. Id prob have a shorter leash. But that is pretty much how it works these days.

If I was married, I'd remain married even if she chose to do things I didn't approve of. I would seek to help them, pray it out, etc.
But, that's worse case scenario. I'd never be involved with someone who had those proclivities. But if it did happen, they'd have to be the one who filed for divorce.
Like I said, I'm a constant. Hope things come out better on the other side.

I've always used that story as my perspective for love and marriage.
your brother fricks up, your child fricks up...you love them, you help them, you want to be there for them no matter.
spouse...."I LOVE YOU!!!!......oh baby un uh....you lost your job?....I can't stand this anymore"

How many serious relationships have you had where you told each other "I love you"

Obviously finding someone who has the same perspective as me is borderline nill. But that's what you get with CR.
Why I have no plans to marry ever or the such. Even Nurse who claims to love her husband has pretty much said she is leaving once trouble comes. To me that's not love, it's a relationship founded upon progressive positive outcomes. I don't know Nurse but that's what it seems.
When I say, I love this person. I imagine the most horrible thing they could do and would I still care about them the same way. I have yet to find that person I would say that to. But that's my measure of love.

Holy fricking shite. You have more issues than I thought

Read back. Was told twice. Never reciprocated.

I don't think that exist except in movies. It is impossible to find because that qualification does not exist.
Posted on 6/15/14 at 7:18 pm to Paige
How is that an issue? That's a grounded perspective if there ever was one. Not throwing around emotions and crap.
How many times have you said I love you. How many times this week you sat on the couch by yourself. That's about right. And what I thought. We are tied for the same.

You can be with someone and that someone fall into things that change them. You never know how someone will change no matter how much you know them. And it can be after years.
If she was abusive to your kids you would just pray it would work itself out?
And although you wouldnt divorce her if she left you then what would you do? Wait or her to hoefuy return and never move on an be miserable? basically if you o every thing on your checklist and it says you can say you like her then she lives rest of her life consequence free relationship wise

Never cheated. Believe you should have the guts to break up instead of stepping out.

I wanna feel what love is. I know you can show me.

What? I've had 5 relationships where I was told I loved you. 4 of them I said it back to, eventually. Not right when they said it because I felt obligated.

According to Paige it's about three Ultras and a bottle of grey goose.
