a lot of marriages end after seven years or so and the average age of first marriage has crept up a lot among educated people

I scanned the thread and must have missed the: "which is crazier? a man who marries or who never marries?"

I know there are a lot of guys who feel this way - and women also not settling. It would be interesting (but hard to prove) if there was a link between this and the self esteem in kids movement over previous decades.
