Thoughts? I like the CX-5. Encore is too small. I like the Ford Edge.

Bump your range up to low 30s and get a Durango

I test drove one. I was pleasantly surprised at the ride. Very smooth and very powerful. Very efficient.

Durango is a little larger and less gas efficient than I would like. This will be mostly a work vehicle with lots of driving. Want something that I enjoy driving.

Daughter (no pics) has had one for about 5 years. Not one problem in all that time. I really think this is a great little car.

At least drive one before you decide, gas is cheap these days

Just bought a 2011 Ford Edge fully loaded for $18k. I love the thing. The Edge rides well and has lots of room.
We were looking between those and the GMC Acadias. I personally liked the captains chairs, roomier feel, and looks of the Acadia, but they hold their value really well and I couldn't find a low-mileage one in my price range.

I really like the Durango. I'll probably test one, but to get it configured like I would like.....it can get on up there in price. Well, more than I want to spend, anyway.

2016 Mazda CX-5 with all the bells and whistles is the best hands down

I have had a cx 7 for 6 years. Have had a lot of problems. But I hear the cx 5 is a good car. Mine was a partnership with ford. The escapes interior is weird. Look for a used Subaru. That boxer engine is a tank.

I had 2012 Durango for a company car. Pretty good ride. I had the 6 shooter so it was under powered and it was awd. Don't like not being able to turn it off when roads weren't icey

I like my 2016 Hyundai Tucson a lot. Even the stock model comes with some nice features. Plus Hyundai has really started to surge the past 5 years. I only used to drive GM, but the Tucson impressed me.

My wife has a 2012 Tucson. We like it for the most part. It's just not exactly fun to drive long distances.

Just checked out the CX5, CX3, Rogue, Escape and Cherokee. We bought the Cherokee Latitude for our son, felt it was the best vehicle for the price. Was not impressed with the interior of the Mazdas and we drive a CX9 and love it.
Surprisingly the Jeep dealer gave us an equivalent price on the Latitude as the base CX5 (sport).
