I would actually kind of like to take it again after being accustomed to USMLE times allotted.
Half of the ACT is testing your ability to simply extract useful information placed in front of you.
The other half is testing specific knowledge without much secondary and, from what I recall, no tertiary concepts (asking a question which requires you know the answer to a second or third level of information to be retrieved from memory to correctly answer the question).

ETA- I think I would not be short on time and score higher than my best.

29 in high school. Got my bachelor's and started a career right out of college. I decided to go into education and my master's program required a score of 25 to avoid the praxis I. They couldn't locate my scores (same school that awarded me my bachelor's degree). My options were to take the praxis l, which was like $140, or to take the ACT again, which was $40. I took the ACT again (the only 26-year-old in the room), and I scored a 26 lmao. Got me out of the praxis though

I took it after a restful nights sleep and a nutritious breakfast. I also spent months preparing for it. I score a 16.

Probably about the same. My English and reading would be higher. While my math, if I did no studying, would be much lower.

Maybe. But add 10 years of killed brain cells from drinking and a few concussions and I ain't so sure.

Absolutely lower. Most of the test material was high school related and fresh in my head at the time. Aside from the reading section I doubt I would do as well.

I can only assume the people saying they would score higher now are either still in school, just out, or had really terrible scores in HS.

8 years out of college, with only industry specifc certification exams since. I'd certainly score lower now. Surely in science and math, and I excelled in math. Maybe it's just me, but I can't remember a damn thing above algebra. Might need to get that looked at.

Everyone here who watched the TV show, "Are you Smarter then a 5th Grader" missed a question on every episode. You learned, what you learned because that's what they taught you then.

I personally scored a 27 the only time I took it.

Highest person I knew scored a 32.

I just remember not being too fired up about my 27 until they said the apparent average was a 17 lol.

Would fail the shite out of math if i had to take it now. But I think I would do better on the other parts. My fantasy football league's last place team this season actually has to take the SAT or ACT this season.
