I knew of a couple of people that lived in Atlanta and commuted to Birmingham. A lot of them partially commuted and stayed in Birmingham. However there was one woman who commuted the 2.5hrs 5 days a week. She said it wasnt as bad as it sounds because she could get all her calls done while driving.

That just sounds miserable, I would have to make changes to my life long before retirement

My commute is about 72 miles. Straight highway no traffic and about 40 minutes each way

About the same as my dad who works in Atlanta ad drives half the distance
