Spin off from pot smoking granny.

Would you support the idea of a limited number of state licensed marijuana "bars" in NOLA? They would be licensed solely for on-site purchase and consumption. I would think the tourist draw and tax revenue would make this something that could potentially get past our traditionally idiotic state legislature. If only for the potential money the state reps could skim for themselves when selling the licenses.

Or would you disagree with the idea since it would most certainly stand in the way of full legalization anytime in the near future?

I would rather full legalization. I prefer to smoke from the comfort of my balcony at home. I wouldn't be opposed to pot chops like Amsterdam, it's just I think anything less than full legalization is crazy.

I mean is there even an excuse why it's not legal?

Plenty of excuses. Don't think there are any good ones though.

Frickin' potheads...

No good excuses though...How about all drugs? You good with that? Are you prepared for the government taxation and regulation? It is all part and parcel....

I think it would be cool to pair the NOLA cuisine scene with an upscale MJ lounge. Obviously you would have to sell Cheetos as well.

Not arguing that it shouldn't be fully legalized but I am beginning to despair that I will see that in my lifetime.

We will have pot cafes here. First ones should open next month. Interesting to see how they'll work.

I actually am ok with that. Some sort of FDA regulation is necessary in the same way that health standards are necessary in restaurants, but I am wholly sick of a nanny state that wants to make these kinds of life decisions for its citizenry.

I don't really see anyone wanting legalized cocaine, heroine, etc. Marijuana should be legal, and that's coming from someone that won't be using it. I was in grand junction for the past week, I went and checked out a dispensary just for the hell of it and they've got it figured out despite high taxation and regulation.

I don't smoke nor would I if it were legal but I'm 100% for legalization or this idea if that's alll our stupid legislature would approve.

I think all drugs should be legal, if you have a desire to do meth or heroin it being illegal now isn't stopping the people from doing it, might as well tax it and stop incentivizing drug cartels

Well then do one of two things: Leave or start a revolution of some type, cause it is bad and not getting any better.

frick yes. I legitimately hate alcohol on a daily basis, but I drink it because weed is illegal and I don't want government pills.

If weed was legal I'd never drink another beer. I'd drink bourbon on the weekends sometimes, but I'd never drink beer again, goodbye hangovers, goodbye empty calories, goodbye liver and stomach damage, and the list goes on and on
