Been eating them since I was 4, never been sick. Had a bad experience once at the tap room in Lafayette for their weekly Tuesday oyster special. The texture was off and tasted like shite.

It wasn't food poisoning, it was a dose of Vibrio Vulnificus bacteria. 6 months
