Obligatory it's an inspection sticker response.

Can you go on a date BEFORE your court date?

I've done this exact same thing multiple times in every parish and city in Southeast Louisiana:

Call DA's office
Tell them you want non-moving
Give ticket number
Send check to Sheriff's
Forget about it

Problem solved

go to court, put in not guilty plea, they will talk to you and make the ticket a non moving violation. its all about the money not the speeding ticket.

That won't work in Nola. It's the city prosecutor, not the DA, and he needs to go to court to speak to him/her.

Not to hijack the thread but I'm almost positive I will be getting a speeding ticket from one of those radar/camera setups on the side of the highway in Baker. They have them on the north and south ends of the city line on hwy 19 where speed limit goes from 55 to 45. First one I will have ever received like this. Is there a way to fight it or just do like what y'all are telling the OP and go to court and plea it down to non moving. First ticket in years for anything.

I have done it once in New Orleans. Thankfully they don't really bother with traffic tickets too much so I don't have that many there

Stacy, they really just want you to pay. I have had 10 or 12 bench warrants from not paying tickets, and only had to go to court on probably half of them. The rest of the time I just call up and send a check in

Moral of the story is.....they really DGAF about the ticket. They just want you to fork over money. Give them the money and they don't care
