The craziest part is this all came from some other parent ratting the kid out.

I'd like to think that I had some involved parents growing up but I'm 99.99999999999999999 percent certain that they wouldn't have had the first clue if another student was wearing an "unauthorized" letter jacket, much less been inclined to actually pursue the matter.

There are probably 5 pages of things the school needs to focus on before this. And even then where is the empathy and compassion?

Nowadays, everyone's children are special geniuses. They should all get straight A's and letter jackets. And no vaccines.

Not going to read every post on this.

Seems like the person that sold the lady the letter without being told by the school it was OK is the one that really screwed up.

In the small town where I grew up, you got your jacket/sweater from the school. You had to order your subsequent letters that were earned and any patches for All-State/All District, State or District Championships, etc. from a local business that also sewed them on for you.

If they did things in a similar fashion, the person that sold the letters should have checked with a coach/AD/principal, before selling the letter.
