That is literally the only thing fun about any parade.

As a grown man, should I be excited about the:
crowds?
floats?
beads?
masked riders?

I've watched, been to the ball, and rode in the ST parade several times and can honestly say the only fun part was getting wasted.

If you can't have fun at ST you must suck at life.

I want to know why being wasted on the neutral ground in Nola catching plastic beads is better then being wasted in BR catching plastic beads

Exactly. I don't think anyone is saying ST is better than the majority of New Orleans parades. But this is one of two parades BR seems to do right (The other being St.Patricks Day).

people who live in NOLA will never say a parade is good outside NOLA

I'm an outsider that has lived in both BR and Nola, and Spanish Town is just as much fun as any Nola parade. I'd rank it pretty high on Mardi Gras fun.

My thoughts exactly. My idea for going to a parade is getting wasted.

Agreed completely. ST is on par fun with any NOLA parade. And I have even had true NOLA elites, the ones that ooooze "neutral ground" and "street cars" from their pores, and they have said St. Patricks day is far better in BR

I went to St. Patricks day parade last year and had a blast. Heard Spanish Town was similar to it, which is exactly why I am headed to it Saturday.

Spanish town is a dam good time. Is it Endymion? no. That's comparing apples to oranges.

Is the route going to be the same as usual this year? I don't see any 2016 route maps on the net. Is it going to end up on Lafayette street?

Thanks. I don't know why that wasn't coming up under an image search.

I def think taking a kid to Mardi Gras for the first time would like Endymion better due to the awesome floats. But as an adult I see nothing more fun about Endymion or ST
