Its now up to 2-3 calls a day from random numbers across the country.

I never answer. Block immediately.

On the do not call list, doesnt matter.

I used to get 2-3 every day telling me my warranty was expired on my used vehicle. I never purchased a warranty.

It took 3 complaints to the FCC, but they've just about stopped. I get one every now and again

That's great and all. Are you interested in 3 months free HBO on DISH? I'd be more than happy to go ahead and hook that up for you at no charge.

If any of you have AT&T and haven't already downloaded the "AT&T Call Protect" app, I highly recommend it. Someone mentioned it on here in one of these threads and it will not only show you if it believes a call is a telemarketer, but it actually blocks some calls. After installing the app the volume of these robocalls that actually gets through and rings has decreased significantly for me.

I may have seriously cut mine down by simply answering and not saying anything until the autodialer hangs up.

The theory I am testing out is whether the autodialer deletes numbers when they do not successfully complete a call to a voice

I usually average 5 calls per week but have only received one this week. I have been testing this theory out for two weeks

Thanks. I'll look into that app.

I'm getting 1(855)555-xxxx like 3-4 times a day

Did you post your number on Craigslist or anywhere else online like that or did they just start from nowhere?

Yep, same for me. I don't know what good the call list is anymore.

I made the mistake of donating to the police department and now I have every department in the is calling me. I have no problem donating to a good cause but don't give my info to other agencies.

The mistake was believing that money goes to the police rather than the boiler room operator.

Do you know how their number scanning process works as far as determining what is spam? I get several legitimate calls from all around the country a day for work.. This makes the whole simple ignoring all long distance numbers trick impossible for me.

I want to cut them down, but can't risk clients being marked as spam or telemarketers. Any clue how this works?

So fricking annoying, it's always "your student loans are out of blah blah blah". Don't these people have anything better to do?

we get about 4 or 5 every morning from 8-9 and another 5-6 at around 6 at night, thankfully my cell phone number isn't on any of their call lists yet, most likely because I only use it 2-3 times a month
