This is all part of a long con to drop attendance and revenue out at Zephyr Field (er... Baby Cake Park) in order to drum up momentum and support for a stadium closer to the heart of New Orleans.

It's the name of the old Denver Zephyrs. They kept the name when they moved.
Zephyrs refers to a wind from the West. Ancient Greek word.
It was just coincidence that the name matched up with a well-known rollercoaster here.
