Approximately 21 kilos of cocaine - worth about $600,000 on the street - washed up in the surf behind a Destin Fla., condominium Sunday morning, (April 19), according to GulfLive.com. The cocaine was separated into bales and marked with the word "Adidas."
The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office received a call at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday to report that the cocaine had been spotted behind Sandpiper Cove off of Crystal Beach Drive, according to the Destin Log.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office asked that anyone with information on the discovery to contact them at 850-651-7400, or through the Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers via 850-863-TIPS, emeraldcoastcrimestoppers.com or via text by writing "Tip214 plus your message" to CRIMES 274637.

Now that's the square grouper you want to catch.

I'd definitely become a drug dealer if I stumbled upon all that.

Just sell it to someone really cheap for like $200K and be done with it.

Found one in Gulf Shores once when I was a kid. A relative took it.

Isn't the premise of one of Paul Walker's old movies that most of us would frick up any such deal dramatically because we don't have know-how or connections.
Not saying that you don't, btw. But I wouldn't exactly know how to call around to fence 20 keys.
I imagine my efforts would look a lot like the guys in Horrible Bosses trying to hire a hitman.
Those of us who didn't end up getting pinched in a sting (cops use snitches all the time) would probably run afoul of whomever thinks he runs the market.
ETA: Thanks for the Movie ref. Couldn't google at the time.

If it washed up behind the condos that would mean it's on the harbor side. Meaning there's a pretty good chance that somebody is running dope into Destin harbor! The chances of dope "washing up" harbor-side is pretty damn unlikely.

There's 1 key missing. Notice the empty space at the bottom right.

I was sort of thrown off by the report in the same manner.

I always thought the back of the condos faced the beach and the front faced the road? And by using the word surf to me means beachside. Can't imagine this washing up in the harbor.

yeah. I'd probably end up arrested but I don't see myself turning that much blow into authorities if I found it.

It depends on how you found it. More than likely, there would be other people around that knew you found it, thus making your chances of being able to sneak away with it pretty slim. I guess if you found it while walking on the beach late at night and no one was around, then you may have a decision to make. Personally, I'd be afraid it was some type of set-up and would probably call the cops regardless. Not only would I be afraid of the cops, but of whoever lost it is probably looking pretty damn hard for it. I don't need those kind of enemies. Third, if I had that much coke and knowing me, I'd probably be dead in a week. All of those things lead me to say that hopefully I would call the cops.

Wasn't drugs but once found a roll of hundreds ($1200) while snorkeling at Sandestin...made for some sweet spending money !

Happens a lot on small Caribbean Islands that serve as refueling stops for drug runners. People I knew called it "White Lobster". If the locals found it, they would make one phone call and the owner would come pick it up and pay a hefty finders fee.
Some families became pretty wealthy off nothing more than long walks on the beach when the tide came in.

Yes, there is the gulf side... and if you look to the north behind the tennis courts, there is a small canal that is directly connected to the harbor.
