Can we get a few of these in Bywater and the Marigny?

What's hipster about PBR? I swilled many of those when I was in college...a very long time ago!

last I checked cigarettes and beer aren't exclusive to hipsters. I have no idea what the yellow thing is. And the cheap shades with neon frames are "too cool" for hipsters. I see those mostly only fratty dudes and females.

A real hipster trap should be:

-a razor with no blade so it would go unused
-skinny jeans
-flannel shirt
-intellectual looking glasses (lenses optional since it's for looks)
-some thought provoking book from the 17th century
-an album by a band that is so underground that the only people that have heard of them are the people in the band

When you spend 200 dollars on a plain white T shirt with holes in it, you don't have money left over to buy a real beer. Thus all the hipsters buy the cheapest beer at the bar

Once craft brew blew up into the mainstream it became hip to drink super cheap beer like PBR and Schlitz.

You could make this argument for all of these

quote:

-a razor with no blade so it would go unused
-skinny jeans
-flannel shirt
-intellectual looking glasses (lenses optional since it's for looks)
-some thought provoking book from the 17th century
-an album by a band that is so underground that the only people that have heard of them are the people in the band

For their respective non-hipster groups.

Bad argument, dawg.

Jesus you all don't know shite about shite. You all think anyone that is not a shite kicking redneck is a hipster.

Hipsters drink locally sourced craft beer. Hipsters don't smoke they vape. Hipster's would wear rectangular plastic glass frames with no lenses.

I don't think anyone under 30 thinks it is cool to smoke anymore.

I thought to myself "Man, that's an old photo I think" then I looked at the date on Gawker and its from 2011.

The world of hipsters is much different now. They vape, don't wear neon (thats fratty), and home brew their own craft beer (which tastes like shite).

Wow. You beat me to it.

I agree and I'm friends with a lot of Nashville hipsters which is like a Southeastern "Mecca" for these types.
