Some pretty stark realities about American demographics

Some people will come into this undoubtedly long thread to obfuscate the issues presented by the article. They will selectively pick off posters' low hanging fruit/possibly racist statements, but the point The Economist is making will still stand.

The dissolution of the black family is the key here; if we could figure out why this is happening then, and only then, will a solution be possible.

This guy happened....
His "war on poverty" and "new society" schemes along with the rise of the "new left" progressive movement played together quite well to get us where we are today. The result is that the black family was destroyed and now the fruits of the progressives is the destruction of the black community. And the white community for the most part is about one, maybe two generations away from being in the same boat. The family has been the bedrock foundation of civilization since the dawn of civilization. You take away the family and you destroy what holds civilization together.
