Already failed but they keep on pushing this.

Talk 107.3 FM had Delgado and another mayoral candidate on their show this morning and both were asked straight up "These people want an all black police force. This is what it all boils down to but nobody will say it right?"

Both candidates commented that it does appear that way.

police officers are not elected officials. not sure why these council members are this fricking stupid but........I suppose it's not too tough to get elected if you live in the right areas.

Can someone please ask them how this worked in Baltimore??

Eta: There's already a legal precedent against residency laws.

I want them to try this just so they can see what a disastrous idea it is. Of course, they don't understand is that it will have the biggest impact on black/high crime areas.

Same way sharpton does. Stealing from the people he "represents". That guy won't make an appearance without plugging 2 or more projects that his name is on. And tuck in your fricking shirt

I am offended of that noose. He should be sent to jail like the kid in Mississippi got sent to jail.

Who's the guy with the noose? He seems pretty reasonable, I'd like to hear more from him.

The guys over at Talk 107.3 had a bunch of data complied. Showed that the BRPD force already has like 60% black officers .Also said that 94% of the officers live within 27 miles of the city center.

Cops don't make enough money to live in most desirable neighborhoods in BR.

That policy was already tried in New Orleans and the result was a drastic drop in hiring for NOPD. They couldn't get the number of qualified candidates to hire.

It's one of the main reasons State Police had to fill in patrolling NO streets to make up for the NOPD manpower shortage.

The N.O. council eventually rescinded the policy.

There's no cure for stupidity....

Three men who lived outside of BR's city limits gave their lives trying to serve and protect these idiots, yet they could care less.

Until these types respect the badge it won't matter who are the cops.

I also heard that six or seven cops would go in on a cheap apartment they never used to show residency and then live in slidell.
