I wouldn't do anything until you know who has the project and they have an approve interconnection. Those developers lie through their teethe while they try to pimp them out and get permits, authorization to interconnect and a power purchase agreement. Their hit rate is probably 15% at best.

Who could have possibly thought such a thing could happen when installing solar cells?

How much would it cost to add 1/2" plexiglass over the cells?

They make high load modules for areas like Miami. They just don’t get used much because they’re expensive. This is just something you get insurance for and make a claim for what’s damaged.
