It's been a gradual breeding of the "you're special" movement. You can see it everywhere when parents constantly step in when their child isn't given a trophy or doesn't get an A. A grown adult is calling school faculty to relieve her mental anguish. This nonsense has been compounded by social media in which people, in order to make a name for themselves, post outlandish bullshite that they likely only halfheartedly believe and mental weaklings like this stupid bitch pick it up and run with it.

The ultimate irony is that she's undoubtedly offended by the exploitation of black people yet there's a 10/10 chance she specifically seeks out and dates black guys to use as a tool to show her progressiveness. These people are the absolute definition of hypocrites yet they are so caught up in their moral righteousness that they will never see just how disturbing their fascistic tactics really are.

There's an interesting book (I've not read it yet) called Pendulum. It's about the swing back and forth between the "me" generation and the "we" generation. It switches every 40 years with 80 years being a full cycle.

I listened to a radio interview with the author and got a quick synopsis of the book. Fascinating stuff. We're currently on the backside of the "we" generation that will end somewhere around 2023 (IIRC). The author said that is the year where everything will be at it's absolute worst.

He also went on to explain that, while neither generation is considered "bad", the "we" generation typically does the scariest stuff even though most assume the "me" generation would likely be the worst of the two.
