I swear some of you have never been... You can get ice when you buy beer
Can't believe this took 3 pages. The beer situation at Jazz Fest is pretty flawless, considering the size of the crowd. I buy 12 or so at a time and ask for a bag & ice. I think they might charge a small fee for the bag.
Coors Original FTW.

They don't charge but they usually ask for a tip

Aren't beers $5?
Yes, beers are $5. Please buy the damn beer out there from the non-profit beer booths. Those people work their asses off and the pricing structure really sucks arse for them.
I think those folks only get something like .26 per can sold or something goofy like that. Most of their profit comes from tips and when the fairgrounds decided two years ago to increase prices from $4 a can to $5, it really hurt.
I actually know a guy who "snuck" in a keg two years in a row several years ago. He had a food service/caterrer uniform on and just wheeled his shite in on a dolly through one of the food and beverage entrances or whatever it was called. Dropped the keg in a garbage can and then got ice from a friends beer booth.

Really if you have to stoop to sneaking in beer you shouldn't be there. TAF

That makes me want to buy beer less... How about I just drop by and give them $2 in the tip jar. That would be what they make off me anyway

You're too trashy to afford a ticket and no guy wants to buy you one

Where are you planning to hide these beers?
Posted on 4/23/15 at 3:15 pm to TheIndulger
Used to sneak probably 6-8 beers in a folding chair sleeve each day a few years back but they have checked those thoroughly the last couple of years so I haven't even tried. My friend has a large floppy cooler that he has been able to sneak beers in successfully recently. Lays the beers flat on the bottom of the cooler, puts a white towel over the beer, then ice on top of the towel, then a few more rolled up wet towels on top. Security thinks it is just wet towels.
