I saw it first Saturday in Mandeville, then yesterday over i12 between BR and Denham, then today in Hammond. It’s a small red and white Cessna type plane flying slow and low. I noticed a v shaped apparatus mounted underneath kind of like the old school tv antenna that used to be mounted on limos. No pics bc I was driving. Anyone else see this or have insight as to what it’s doing? I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s either mapping or I’m Henry Hill and will be busted leaving the house any day now.

Test runs for tracking the devices that will be inside of every American after the Covid-19 vaccine is administered.

Did you see any of these along the Interstate?

Other than that, maybe some survey work or some kind.

More than likely an EPA air sampler

Either that or a cropduster returning home from a run

Aerial photography? Pretty common when assessing infrastructure or large land plots.

Interestingly, pipeline surveillance is one of the better ways to build time asan aspiring pilot.

They were in the Shenandoah area a few weeks ago. I couldn't believe how low they were flying. Clip a tree-top low.

That could be it. There was no discernible pattern. I saw it north of I12, along I12, and well south of I12.

I’m going to research epa air sampler on the google machine.

Yep. I stuck around because I thought for sure they were going to be landing on the highway.

If you can see any identifying markers/numbers on it you can often look it up via various sources.

They aren’t all that small. It’s an air tractor and they are fertilizing the pine trees. There are two of them operating out of HDC.
