And you may not be playing the victim card for yourself personally, but you are definitely playing it.

If your point is true, that it was European colonization that has retarded African development, then those areas left more or less alone by the Europeans should see thriving peaceful, modern, purely African societies. However, That's not the case either. Why do you think that is?

Because white people.

One incident in how many years? Compared to the other way around?

I'm a firm believer in the Death Penalty. I would like to see the Judicial System speed up the process of following through with executions. 2+ years on Death Row is way to long.

decriminalization of drug-related offenses and prostitution

If you're using drugs, ok, fine. But if you're dealing to under aged kids or using under aged kids as runners, then no.

the "demilitarization" of police departments

Should NEVER happen unless you want to fall under martial law because the Military would handle "police" actions.

It seeks reparations for lasting harms caused to African-Americans of slavery and investment in education and jobs

Seriously? A non "african American" already has to battle the so called "minority" for a job or even a business loan due to "special policies" in place for non whites. I believe it was called "affirmative action".

So does it piss you off that while you, as a young, black (probably male) in today's America have done everything you are supposed to, and yet there are people that sit on their arse and do nothing and you help provide for them?

Yes?

Then why are you defending them.

Because I have humanity the world isn't a fair place and everyone should have help if they can't get it on their own. I agree the gov handicaps people with government assistance to an extent but it is needed and needs to find a way to be regulated more. Such as time limits, drug testing, and connecting with employment offices. The kids suffer more than their parents for not getting it. Also the money the gov waste on give assistance pails in comparison that is wastes on the military.

Do you think Europe was a united country? Do you think powers like France, Britain, amd Portugal were all the same country?

Why not? Is it not true that African civilization has been around even longer than European civilization? And is it not also true that Africa is even more resource rich than Europe? Then why is it that by the 1400's European civilization had advanced centuries ahead of African civilization to the point the Europeans were able to impose their will on African civilization?

I'm a senior in college and I'm on my phone where it tales to much effort to fix sentences that aren't being graded or for professional review.

This is what's wrong with the world today.
We've completely undermined survival of the fittest.

So if everyone should receive help then what is the point of going to college when you can just be taken care of for the rest of your life? I agree that it sucks for the kids, that it is a vicious cycle. However, before the New Deal when all this shite came about, if you could not afford to raise kids you didn't have them, or you did the responsible thing and gave them up for adoption because you could not support them.

My point is that now we reward people for making shitty decisions. we give them more money, better free healthcare, etc. So why is anything going to change? eventually over a few generations the numbers will flip and more people will be receiving aid than paying taxes.

ETA: like fr33 said. survival of the fittest is dead. so now you get Chicago, Detroit, North BR, etc.
