Ski Trip Recommendations

Looking for recommendations for a snow skiing trip for a few novices. Preferences would be ski-in, not overly crowded, decent night life and other entertainment besides skiing. Direct flights from BTR or MSY would be a plus but not necessary. Age ranges 40+/- so I'm sure everyone will be pretty sore to ski every day so other things to do would be nice. TIA

not overly crowded
This really narrows the field. If you are flying into Denver, you are talking about the Summit County resorts plus Winter Park, Vail and possibly Steamboat. In Summit, Copper Mountain will be the least crowded. It has some nice restaurants and a few bars, but not the nightlife that a Breckenridge or Vail would have. Depending on budget, I would consider Telluride or Crested Butte. A little harder to get to, a lot less crowded, and an actual town. No matter what you choose, you will have a good time.

Steamboat or Copper. Avoid the crowds.

Summit and Vail will be quite crowded. I would recommend Steamboat.

Fly into Salt Lake.
You can choose from several incredible resorts.
Look up Big Cottonwood and Little Cottonwood canyons (Alta, Brighton, Snow Bird, etc)
There is Park City. And Deer Valley as well.
All within 30-45 minutes of SLC.
Enjoy

For a novice I always enjoyed Angel Fire NM. I don't require a night life anymore. To tired at the end of the day.
