The rocket balloon entertains me. My son got it for his birthday and I was like "look at this crap". Then I was launching balloons all over the house all night.

Lego's... Not the specialty sets, but the good old fashioned plain old Lego blocks where you built whatever was in your imagination

I had a full size frogger machine at my house when my sons were little. I hate that I gave it away when we moved to Louisiana.

agree completely...it is not the most glamourous toy under the tree, but they will play with legos for months after everything else has broken or been shoved aside....

My kids are older but they really do come back to the simple stuff, we just shot each other for thirty minutes with ping pong balls.
