Very true, but even that has, in some views, been watered down in recent years.

Also forgot to add, Good hazing allows for a evaluation period by both pledge and actives.

So true, another value of a pledge program, especially if you're getting quality pledges, they're gonna be cocky as hell.

I've heard that Kappa Sigma and Sigma Chi will be following SAE's footsteps and that national's will announce the abolition of pledgeship nationally for all of their chapters in April.
