Would be worse than Sharon Weston Broome considering that she'd have almost no resistance on a NO city council thats all Democrats and at least as of yesterday, not a single Republican is even trying to run for the council.

well if you're in the waste management business as he was you don't become successful without engaging in the political corruption especially in a place like NOLA

so i just suspect that if he were mayor he'd be just another in a long line of leeches bleeding the city dry.

A leech who's actually done something productive > a leech who's never been anything but a leech.

I mean, that's basically what would be your choice and the only choice you'd ever really possibly hope to get here.

We've given up. Congrats Mitch. You beat the spirit out of the city. Enjoy your legacy. Let the city destroy itself and then rename the ashes LandrieuVille. I'll happily come back and piss in them.

I would honesty consider moving

My neighbor is so worried about Cantrell becoming the Mayor that he put his house up for sale. I'm putting mine up for sale if she does win because that would be absolutely devastating to the city. If I do make the decision to move it will be out of state and I'll relocate my business and move my employees out as well.

At this point if Torres doesn't enter the race then the city will become impossible to do business in or to get things done. Even if Torres wins though the City Council races might be even worse than the Mayor's race.

Since I moved out of the city a couple of months ago, I'm merely a spectator.

I really don't like to be an alarmist. However, Latoya will be able to turn New Orleans into Jackson overnight. She will be 100% unabated in anything she wants to do. It will set the city back so far its awful.

New Orleans is so fricked if a democrat with only racial agendas is elected.

Go visit Jackson, MS. See what happens.

he was hard to read wearing big arse sunglasses. i just did it in case he was an insecure wreck like many celebrities are.

that i would be more excited to meet a garbage man and not even acknowledge him, it sounded funny to me

you misinterpret my suspicion as condemnation

i have a lot of respect that he built a business and made an unbelievable fortune...while actually doing a good job. the quarter was clean as a whistle. overnight after he sold it the quarter started looking bad again.

i'm just saying the waste management business has a well earned reputation. NOLA has a well earned reputation...so i suspect some shady shite went down. it's not like you'd have a choice either. those are the barriers to entry and the unavoidable costs of doing business.

He's running. He saw what running for office could do for one's brand. He's Trump 2.0.

I too am in the #WillNotBuyinNola camp.

I'm currently house hunting and can't bring myself to spend that kind of money in Nola with the bullshite political landscape.

I also don't want to buy in JParish. I don't know what to do.

No, I think your suspicion is not even such --- it's more than likely dead on.

Just pointing out, if that's the choice we're given, you gotta go for the leech who's done something.

If New Orleans is a lost cause, you better look at getting the hell out of Dodge all together.

I wonder if his love affair with Lenny Kravits will come out if he runs.
