I'm sick and damn tired of the piss poor interstate conditions coming into Baton Rouge from the west side. BR has to be the only damn capital city in the USA with only a 2 lane interstate coming into the western side of it. I'd like to dig up the civil engineer who thought of that shite and kick him in the nuts.

To be fair, there's no use in feeding BR with more than 2 lanes when it gets choked down to one lane.

After driving through 11 other states on the east coast recently, it makes you wonder WTF does Louisiana do with it's federal dollars compared to other states. I drove on backwoods, hillbilly West Virginia roads and those roads are light years better than Louisiana.

Living in a city with 3 to 8 lane I-systems, I cringe when I travel back home and enter the city on a 2 lane system. It always is backed up. And when a wreck happens, there is not another lane to leak traffic through.
