Same here. My wife and I plan to be going to Orange Beach after lunch time. Will still go the Beach Express but then will have to go a alternate route to get into Gulf Shores/OBA

Yeah that is the worst part about that drive. You exit the interstate thinking yes we are almost there. nope. the express way is the way to go.

The barge only hit the safety barrier before the support piling for the bridge. So the safety barrier seems to have done its job. They are waiting for an underwater inspection.

Bama, I might be driving my kids to FL on Friday evening. Leaving BR at 4:30 puts me in the mobile area at 7:45 or so. We are going as far as we can on the way to Panama City. Any suggestions?
