I'll admit: this is something I say on occasion. I never write or type it, but if I'm just shooting the shite, this might come out.

For all intensive purposes, your correct if you use either one. Its not like one or the other is the onliest correct one.

Most are not saying should of. They are saying should've, which is correct English, but sounds just like should of. Contractions baw. Contractions.
