You have his address? Then go to the bookstore pull out every bingo (magazine subscription)card you can get, check bill me later with his address on them mail them in. Alt lifestyle mags are the best, those mailing lists are so small the magazine company sells the shite out of those lists & once your on that list you will never get off. Sorry about the asshat typical for Craigslist people.

BTW, here's the thread for the original totaled car. LINK

I guess y'alls generation has been burned by each other so much that it's just the way it is now. Just can't wrap my head around that.

Reminds me of a story I have from a while back. I was selling a large trailer (18 wheeler trailer) and a guy called from west Texas and said he would be there the next day to get it so I held it. I started calling him the next evening and he would not answer the phone. Called for two days and he would not answer so I sold it to someone else. Two weeks role by and he calls and said he was sorry and would like to get it so I told him to come on. The next day he started calling and guess what, I did not answer the phone. Was this sorry of me, probably but I don’t care.

It absolutely sucks for you and your son and I'm sorry you had to deal with that.

But seller did the smart thing for him. Safe to say he didn't know your situation?

Sucks dude, but there have been countless times that you trust someone's word from a sh*thole like Craigslist and you get burned.

We had 2T of flagstone we were trying to get rid of and 3 (!!!) separate people called and said "we're on our way!! PLease hold it" and of course those a'holes never showed up so I can see the reasoning.

Hopefully you'll find someone else (and maybe better) for him.

Well, your generation didn't have craigslist when they were younger, so it's really hard to say how you would have handled it. I can say that I've been burned by people of all ages on craigslist.

Had I shown up and he told me then, I probably would have busted his kneecaps.

So I guess he was consistent in the "it's all about me" line of thinking.

Same here. My vag is just a little raw, that's all. What better place to pamper it than here right?

I guess I'm in the minority but that was a shitty thing he did. Unless he specified that others were looking at it.

Naw he never said anything about others and I clicked the link about 6 minutes after it was posted. Just happened to be looking at the right time.

Oh well. One thing I learned a long time ago, there's always another good deal out there. Just more about taking 2 hours away from work and my son having his dialysis stuff screwed up.

I assume you didn't tell him that you were driving from so far away. It could have helped.

If he told you he had another interested buyer that migh beat you to it, would it have stopped you from going?

No, I probably would have tried to paypal him $100 non-refundable to hold it till I got there. Something like that. Let him GPS me or something so that he had no questions about if I was gonna show up.

The most important thing you learned from this, is that your daughter can't be trusted behind the wheel.
