Yep. That happened.
I think the daughter is in a psych ward, and the boyfriend who killed the mom is doing time. I guess he should have informed the cops, but that mom had everyone fooled. They even went on national talk shows. In my mind, that guy saved that daughter and he's a hero.
ETA: Nevermind. She got 10 years. He's facing first degree murder. Pathetic imo. Mom deserved it.

She committed fraud.
ETA: Joel Osteen is asking people to donate to his ministry. It isn't the same. I think he's a fraud, but, even if what he's doing was illegal, good luck finding someone to press charges against him for defrauding them.
