Looks like most of these morning storms are staying West of the OKC area, leaving the warm sector pretty much untouched. Their storm motion is more NNE which doesn't really bring them into the area of greatest concern for this afternoon. Watch where these early storms set up. We could see remnant boundaries from them later that really influence where the initial storms this afternoon will fire.

You'd much rather see these ongoing storms farther east.

On this date during 1942, the 5th "worst" tornado of Oklahoma history (estimated F4) tracked into Pryor as OK and the U.S. were adjusting to WWII. The tornado destroyed nearly a third of Pryor, killing 52 people and injuring at least 220 others.

They didn't go with a High which is good. There was some talk about introducing a small High risk with the 11:30 update.

Here is to hoping nothing materializes at all and instead people get mad and argue about it online

Timing update. Thunder play 2:30-5 so can maybe get that in before hitting the in-ground shelter

I'm hoping Norman gets a balloon up for 18z. Modeled soundings from the HRRR are lacking just a bit for shear, but the observed sounding from this morning had a little more than modeled soundings.

HRRR has handled the early convection well. It kept it mostly to the western part of the warm sector, leaving the main area of concern clear. That's what we've seen so far with these ongoing storms staying well west of OKC.

And I present to you what will be the center of the debate for the rating of yesterday's Elkhorn, NE tornado:
