I've got a ton of old jeep parts that have accumulated over the years from my project jeep. I know they have value, so I dont want to just throw them away, but they're really starting to take up a lot of space. I'm considering trying to sell on ebay, but I have never done anything on there before except buy stuff. It looks pretty painless from what I've read and watched on youtube. The only real arse-pain is the actual packaging up and shipping. I know there are fees involved too, which is annoying, but it would still net me a lot more cash than jsut having all this stuff sitting around.

any thoughts? serious or otherwise?

Sell them to AntiqueTiger.

You'll make some, he'll make some, it will be off your hands, you won't have to buy and learn new stuff, less headache.

Or you can choose the headache and shipping costs (do you even have a scale)? And make all the profits.

It's probably the best way to sell the parts.

Other ways would be Facebook Marketplace and Facebook groups specific to parting out jeeps and stuff.

Tried to sell on eBay once and I couldn’t. Something about not having enough of something. Can’t remember specifically what.

Youll get rid of it the quickest vs marketplace. But youll also pay the most fees. Pros and cons

I’d try Craigslist, OfferUp and Facebook market first

You can do a completed search to see if there’s a market on eBay for what you’re selling

i'd have to get a scale and i guess a label printer. i have absolutely no infrastructure set up for such a gig, but it looks like it would only cost me a hundred bucks or so to get what i need to get going.

I would list them everywhere first and keep up where you list them so when it sells, you go and remove it from the other places.

the fact that he buys men's second hand underwear from garage sales and sells them online tells me you're correct on 'anything'

And packing material, and boxes.
How much is your time worth? Do you really want to spend it haggling with people?

that's precisely what led me to this idea. i was getting ready to toss a bunch of stuff but on a whim looked it up under completed sales on ebay, and i realized i probably have a thousand dollars worth of stuff just sitting around (if it all sells)

Ebay has picked up again. My wife has been selling a lot of stuff on eBay lately and killing it. Adding an extra $400 to $800 month to the budget.

It's very easy and yes you would get much more for it there than FB Marketplace, plus not have to deal with as many scammers etc.

not sure it's more impressive that there is a market for such a thing or that he found that market
