Saw a few in BR recently, but I haven't noticed the mosquito trucks out spraying yet. As soon as they start spraying the fireflies will probably disappear.

If people would quit bombing their yard for mosquitoes instead of lighting a citronella candle or turning on a fan you'd see a lot more fireflies.

See them all the time out on the river. And up at our place in Mississippi. Just gotta get out of the city and away from areas they spray for mosquitos

Saw one around sunset and thought it was a mosquito. Was about to smash it when it sparked up and saved its life,

Mosquito spraying is a huge scam. It accomplishes nothing but line the pockets of the usual susoects.
