Moret is fantastic. I was an intern at LED and had the opportunity to sit in during a few of his meetings and work under him for a few projects.
I met him a few times. He's not really slick enough to be a politician, but he's more polished and more "human" than most of the academia types. That's why he's ideal for running the LSU Foundation.
I guess we'll see. Fundraising is critical for LSU, and these days it helps to have friends that have connections to state and local government as well as countless businesses in the region.

His job at BRAC was to restructure the organization and the next governor is going to hire his own secretary. Besides 2 jobs in 12 years isn't the definition of job hopping IMO
True. I wasn't meaning to sling mud. I've been a casual fan of his. I was just pointing out that he manages to be in the circuit of these big money executive positions, without ever having to venture into the private sector. Good for him, I guess.

Two pages and not a single negative comment, that is a frisking record for this crowd. Good hire for LSU

The LSU foundation is private sector. It is a private non profit which only helps LSU Law School, AG Center and Baton Rouge campus.
He is in the circuit of big money executives because he is very smart, well educated and extremely talented. If you could clone him into all department heads in this state we quite possibly would be a lot better off.
He is also working on his doctorate from Univerity of Pennsylvania.

Moret is a top notch guy with a top notch record of success. I wish him luck in this endeavor. No doubt in my mind he will do well.

Well before BRAC he was at McKinsey. And BRAC, and LSU Foundation are private, FYI.

agree completely...I actually kind of hate to see him leave his current position, as he was doing a hell of a lot of good for the state...

This guy goes to our church. The first time I ever met him, he and his wife were leaving church and saw that we had a newborn baby. They proceeded to fill our truck with several garbage bags full of practically new baby cloths for our daughter. Top notch indeed and all the best to he and his family. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch.
