Last time there was 2001-2 SXSW.

Times have changed. I'm 42 and want nice food. Live music. Bars and pubs not clubs.

Going with the wife without kids.

Staying at The Driskill.

Gf and I went to the Russian House on 5th. Awesome infused vodka. Had a good time at Maggie Mae's on 6th too.

We always try to hit Barton spring pool early... Like 10 am, when it's not crowded. The water is cold and it's refreshing.

The Driskill is haunted.

Hit up 4th west of Colorado. South side of the street. Have fun!

The Blind Pig and Shakespeare's are right across the street from each other and are a blast. Go there.

Whip In for Craft beer, Indian food and low key live music. Easy Tiger for food and beer. Bangers for sausage and beer. East Side King food truck for great Asian food. Gourdoughs for donut burgers.

How so?

The Driskill?

SXSW in 2001?

Driskill is actually middle of the road price wise for downtown that week.

Done it.

Downtown is great. Compared to the 1990's.

Like going to a new city. Just trying something different.

Jesus. That placed turned me away once when I was underage and I snuck by once when I was underage. It's still there? How old are the folks that are there?
