i've wondered if there is any way to possibly (now or in the future) do this

Because fracking causes earthquakes, wastes water, pollutes the earth, derp, derp, derp...

The slow steady eruption of Hawaiian island volcanoes keeps them stable right?

Pretty sure I read the same article in the August 1929 Time magazine.

Maybe it was July.

I visited the place in 1990. Interesting place fer shure.

Shortly after that I read an article about a shift in the lake. Some park ranger noticed the water level was rising above the bank into the tree line on one side He noticed that the water level was dropping on the other side. This was happening slowly in people years but would pretty rapid in geological years

The article went on to show how the magma mass was moving which would be another step toward an explosion.

I've read articles on this since that predicted the effects on earth. Everything from many deaths and a blast that could be heard in Louisiana and terrible effects to life on earth to total loss of life on earth ... except roaches, alligators and sharks.

Even given the knowledge of the magma chamber movement the best guess the "scientists" had was within a 6k year period.

I thought that I read an article about the moving magma chamber making an eruption less likely, but maybe i'm not remembering correctly.

Anyway, the US government geologists put the odds of an explosion in a given year at 1 in 700,00

We also have too much cattle and grow too much corn. It's weighing down the earth's crust and increases the likelihood that the pressure will make the volcanoes explode.

You are being silly. It is a fact that fracking causes earthquakes. The Dallas area has been inundated with earthquakes since fracking started. And it is true the fracking may cause volcanic activity. I know this to be true.

And it last erupted about 650,000 years ago.

I found it very reassuring the first time I went camping inside the caldera when they passed out the pamphlet explaining that it first erupted about. 2 million years ago. Then 1.3 million years ago, then 650,000 years ago....
